you do you

Yesterday, I came across a post:

It’s easy to look at a successful marketing strategy and want to ‘do that thing.’

But his advice is to make your plan. Work your plan. Stick to your plan. And don’t worry about what others are doing.

They do they.

You do you.

(paraphrasing here because I forgot the source)

This is beautiful advice because –

In marketing, everything works, and nothing works.

Everything works if you put in the time, sweat, and resources to master the necessary skills.

Nothing works if you bounce around from strategy to strategy like a squirrel finding the best acorn.

To your success,

P.S. – In case you’re curious, here’s “my thing”:

I focus on telling great stories for my clients.

Stories that entertain.

Stories that establish positioning.

Stories that build an authoritative branding.

Stories that attract raving fans, not just followers.

Because I know—with proven results—that I can turn customers into repeat customers every week when I relentlessly focus on telling good stories.
