Last week, I helped my client create a 3-day flash sale.
They were having some challenges with their ad (FB not accepting any spending), so they wanted to run a quick sale to boost revenue.
In addition…
They have a full warehouse of slow-moving inventory they want (need) to clear before June.
The result:
3 days. 4 emails. ~$10.4k.
(the AOV is around ~50)
Not bad?
Two days after the promo…
The CMO reached out:
“There’s a spelling error in one of the emails. You wrote ‘I thought’ with a missing T. We can’t afford having a typo.”
Okay.
But the lessons here:
~ typo does not affect conversion
~ Don’t try to edit an email on the hospital chair (you’re prone to mistakes)
~ The #1 thing your clients care about is… zero typos
🤣
~ Grammarly doesn’t work on Klaviyo
