what to do when a campaign bombs

*sniff-sniff-snoreeeee*

*sigh*

I was sitting on the sofa in a twisted position. Back hunched, both arms on knees, palms facing the ceiling, right foot tippy, and neck tilted.

My whole body was slanted in a very uncomfortable pose.

BUT

The little one made a nest in my arms—fell asleep for the first time since 15:00—and I was NOT going to jinx it.

So, I held as still as the mountain until Tracy finished showering.

The only thing that was keeping me alive was…

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End on Netflix.

(yeah, that’s the reason for the tilted neck)

Then, one of the characters caught my attention:

The dwarf warrior Eisen said –

“Here’s the secret to beating the strongest enemy. It’s simple. Keep standing up. No matter how many times you are struck down, stand up and fight back. As long as you’re standing, you haven’t lost yet.”

That is a profound statement.

~ Abraham Lincoln was defeated 26 times before becoming one of the most-loved presidents in US history

~ Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team before transforming the NBA forever

~ Stephen King was rejected by publisher THIRTY TIMES before winning the iconic thriller Carrie

So… stop freaking out because of one failed campaign.

Keep standing up. Keep fighting. And you’ll never lose.

Talk soon,
