Today, I want to share something I read a few weeks ago.
A brilliant marketer shared –
In 2025, as marketing inflation hits, economy weakens, ad cost rises, buyer sophistication sharpens…
“Easy trusting” customers are leaving the market faster than being replenished.
This means…
It will get harder to turn strangers into customers with ONE ad.
Prospects are skeptical.
Prospects are being targeted by 108 different competitors simultaneously.
They’ve seen every claim, every benefit, and every guarantee.
His conclusion:
Gone are the days of ads > sales.
Customers now require multiple touches… multiple ads… multiple emails… before they make a buying decision.
My thoughts?
These gurus have been living in the “high ticket biz opp” niche for too long.
😂
The door-to-door salesmen knew you needed 6 to 8 touches to convert a sale… like 100 years ago. (and it’s more like 12 to 16 online)
This is not news.
But at the same time –
Ad > Landing Page > Sales
Still works beautifully for most of my clients in the e-commerce industry.
The reason I’m sharing this is not to belittle the guru.
(as I said, I think he’s very, very smart)
I’m sharing this because I want you to understand the importance of CONTEXT.
There is nothing that works perfectly in every market, every business, every time.
Rule of thumb
Best practices
Industry standards
They are all created by someone (or some company) under a specific set of conditions. In other words, all “proven strategy” comes with their context.
Understand the context first…
Before adopting the strategy.
