the doctor destroyed my wife

A few days ago, Tracy and I took the baby to the hospital for his 4M vaccine, and this happened:

The doctor spends ~25 minutes going through the regular check-ups (like weight, BH, HC, temperature, etc), plus answering our questions.

Then, he bends over to open her diaper…

Stops…

*looks up at Tracy*

(pauses for a second)

“Huh… her skin’s kinda… rough.”

BOOOOOM

Tracy freezes as if a bolt of lightning hit her.

I can even hear her screaming internally –

“Rough? ROUGH?! I’m already applying baby lotion twice a day!!!”

Luckily, the doctor senses the red flag and ends the topic.

I, on the other hand, couldn’t help laughing…

Because this reminds me of the process of mastering any skill.

(copywriting, swimming, cooking – you name it)

Often, you’ll put in the effort and barely see any improvement.

You just have to keep pushing.

Because if you stop, you’ll only get worse.

But if you work long and hard enough… one day, you’ll look back and finally realize how far you’ve come.

Cheering for you,
Wuyen
