That’s it.
Q#1: Do you really think people remember who you are?
I don’t.
(It was a jewelry brand I was surfing a while back. But I would not know if I wasn’t a marketing geek looking for an email inspiration)
Q#2: Why make it so hard for your prospects to find out WHAT you are selling?
Most brands do not know how to tell a good story. Fine.
But…
Throw me an image.
Give me a product name.
Tell me something?!
We’re not playing an escape room here.
(hey, even escape rooms have clues)
Q#3: What sale?
The email listed:
~ sale x2
~ shop x4
~ last x2
~ final x2
But I still have zero idea what (& why) you’re running a promo.
The moment I saw this email, I was puzzled. A dozen questions flashed through my mind… so I decided to unsubscribe + delete.
And that, my friend, is the competition you’re looking at.
The barrier is low.
The rivalry is weak.
The challenge is easy.
All you have to do is write an email worth reading, and you will crush it.
(or hire a professional to do it for you)

PS – That email is so bad… I’m slightly worried repurposing it will damage my deliverability. But I want to show you a real-world example.
So… I’ll take the risk for your benefit.
