The art of… giving away your kid for 8 hours?

“Stop rolling so I can change your diaper.”

“Come back here. I’m not done with the lotion.”

“AN—GET OFF THE RAIL.”

*facepalm*

Tracy’s been ramping up work—after a long 9 months off—and I’m in charge of getting the little one to her new childcare every morning.

All I can say is…

For those of you who aren’t parents, stop blaming your parent-friends for being late. It’s inevitable.

Now, some people will say child care is bad for the tot. But –

So far, it’s been a good experience:

~ The little dragon learned to nap over 20min within two days

~ The feeding schedule is a lot more consistent and predictable now

~ Tracy can finally take her mind off the baby for a few hours every day

(the only thing I’m not happy about is how they clean her bump 🤷)

The entrepreneur world worships hustling.

It’s “expected” to work hard—all day, every day.

And yes, there are phases where you go all in. But here’s what I learned from “letting go” of the tiny one for a few hours every day:

When you’re under stress, you don’t realize…

It takes a toll on your mentality.

You stop thinking.

You start settling.

And you let the lizard brain take over—dropping into cruise control without noticing. But when you break free from that cycle…

…even for one day

You discover how weary you are.

(and how much you stop caring)

This applies to everything in your life—parenting, relationships, and business.

So, do this for 2025:

Build recovery into your schedule.

Create a mandatory time off—every day, week, month, and quarter.

“It’s okay not to be ok.”
