Last week, I came across an article called, Your Strengths Are Your Weakness.
The author discussed his view on how strength and weakness are two sides of the same coin.
~ Very fast productive = Overlooking details
~ Bold and adventurous = Taking too much risk
~ Careful = Easy to procrastinate
Looking at myself, I see this same trait.
My strength:
I think a lot.
Research. Study the topic. Create a plan. Review the plan 10 times.
Before I’m comfortable launching a new project.
Translating this to my weakness:
I take too long to launch a new project.
This hasn’t been a big problem serving clients because I use a clear deadline to help me ship the project on time.
But when it comes to building assets for my own business…
It’s bad.
Thinking about it: Maybe this is why my mentors always suggest that I “create in public.” When you are creating in public…
You have people watching.
You have accountability.
You have deadlines to meet.
And you deliver.

P.S. – I promise you, these last few emails will lead to something…
I’m just using these emails to polish my thoughts.
Writing is thinking.
P.P.S. – Another of my strengths is writing story-driven emails…
But this also leads to an apparent weakness –
I write fewer long-form content, which is better for bringing in new leads.
The solution becomes:
Can I leverage short-form story emails to create the longer assets I need to grow my business?
