stop doing what others are doing

I’m noticing a trend:

~ Everyone is sharing their rags to future riches in the same way

~ Everyone is sharing their “unpopular opinion” on the same event

~ Everyone is telling stories following the same structure

It is like everyone is getting the same 365D prompts from GPT.

(not just email but also SM posts)

I get it.

Finding new ideas and hooks in every email makes you want to pull your hair out. But just like the email I wrote a few days ago…

It’s painfully obvious when every brand is writing with the same theme.

The worst thing you can do with your marketing is –

Blending In.

Here’s something I read a week ago:

“The real risk of building your business around AI as a copywriter…

…is that its output is so good.

…

…

But it’s only ‘good.’

It’s never ‘great’… or heaven forbid… ‘genius.’

And yet copywriting is a career where an unfair share of the spoils go not to the good… nor even the great… but to the copywriting geniuses.”

And that is a brilliant insight from Daniel Throssell.

As a marketer…

(yes, all business owners are marketers)

Your big breakthrough comes from that spark of genius.

In short, marketing is not about “writing.”

It’s all about THINKING.

~ What is on your prospects’ mind?

~ What are they thinking right now as they found your brand?

~ What is the emotional roller coaster you’re taking them on?

~ How do you connect the dots, leading them to believe the same value as you before seeing the product/sales page?

Sounds hard?

It is.

Isn’t that why people pay for expertise?

Cheering for you,
