saving more ≠ making more

Yesterday, I shared a nightmarish experience with an expensive restaurant’s air conditioning system.

As I was writing about air conditioning…

It reminded me of something interesting.

I have a relative.

Let’s call him Ming.

Ming is famous for being frugal.

He would sweat through the hot summer afternoon, surviving on a 20-year-old fan, unwilling to waste any air conditioning money.

But when I get to know Ming more…

I realize…

A lot of what he does… wastes more than it saves.

For example:

~ he would try to cool three rooms plus a hallway with one air conditioner (wearing out the machine far before the expected lifetime)

~ he would shut off the air conditioner even if he’s leaving the house for 10 minutes (we all know that opening the machine is the most energy-intensive task)

~ he would leave the door open when he is on the balcony watering the flowers… as the cool air escapes (no explanation. pure waste)

This is weird, right?

But this happens a lot… even in businesses.

You will see business owners firing their human copywriter… getting rid of their marketing experts…

Because they think it saves money using 20/mo GPT… PLUS doing everything else themselves.

FIRST

Don’t you have other things you need to do?

SECOND

When you try to save pennies on talent…

You always end up losing on results, deliverability, and reputation.

It is not worth it.

At the end of the day –

You will need to spend more to hire someone like me to fix up what GPT messed up. And that will cost you even more.

To your success,
