Rule #1

It starts today!

My very ambitious mission to condense everything I’ve learned from running very profitable launches and holiday promotions for e-commerce (yes, this is only for e-commerce)…

…into one easy-to-follow, simple-to-reference compendium.

Starting with Rule #1 –

The success… or should I say the “sales” of your holiday promotion is 80% determined BEFORE you open the cart

Think of holiday promotion as a… mid-term exam.

Yes, your on-the-spot performance matters… but a lot less than you believe.

✅

If you’ve been building a list for months… nurturing the relationships with your subscribers… and planning a mouth-watering offer…

…you can make it rain by simply announcing, “It’s live. Go buy it now.”

BUT –

❌

If you give up list building because of high ad costs… only email your list once every few weeks… and launch a lackluster offer…

…you can have the most brilliant copywriter on your team and still fail.

In short –

A holiday promotion is the “conclusion” of your effort…

…not the effort itself.

It does NOT reflect what you’re doing now…

It reflects what you’ve BEEN doing in the past days, weeks, or months.

I like to treat sales events as a harvest.

I plant the seeds by running ads to bring new customers into my world. I nurture the plants by entertaining, enlightening, and implanting beliefs in E.V.E.R.Y. S.I.N.G.L.E. E.M.A.I.L.

Then…

When the timing is right…

I reap the harvest through a sales event.

The result of the sales?

That’s a delayed gratification of my efforts.

This is the #1 most important concept when it comes to holiday promo.

Reread this email.

Let it sink in.

Because nothing matters if you get Rule #1 wrong.

To be continued…

P.S. – If you just joined my email list and have no idea what I’m talking about…

This is a series in my very ambitious mission to condense everything I’ve learned from running highly profitable e-commerce launches and holiday promotions (yes, this is only for e-commerce)…

…into one easy-to-follow, simple-to-reference compendium.

If you missed the previous rules, don’t worry.

I will do a recap in the end. Just tag along for now.
