prioritize: relationships > clicks (an unpopular opinion)

If you’ve ever advertised on a social media platform, you’d know –

Engagement ads — where the prospects stay on the platform — are always drastically cheaper than conversion ads — where the prospects click your ad and go to your landing page.

Why?

Because social media platforms want people to STAY on their website.

The longer they stay, the more ads they see.

What most people don’t realize is that…

Email deliverability acts the same.

One of the most overlooked deliverability hacks is that:

Google WANTS people to stay in Google’s ecosystem.

(This is the same reason why Google is now using its AI software to “steal” content from different websites and give you the answer directly on the search page. Stay please.)

This means…

Gmail wants you to stay in Gmail.

So, if a reader pulls out their phone, pops open the Gmail app, taps your email, and…

ACTUALLY READ YOUR EMAILS — MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK

…instead of immediately click-baiting them to your website with fake curiosity and over-the-top urgency. Then –

You earn a small brownie point from Gmail, which slightly boosts your domain reputation.

🤯🤯🤯

(yes, I just blew your mind with the knowledge that people still read emails)

Repeat this.

Every day.

Every week.

And you will never have to worry about deliverability again.

Because –

Gmail has ONE job. To give people what they want.

And you’ve just proved to Google that people WANT your emails.

I promise you.

Prioritizing relationships (and readerships) over fast clicks…

Sending stories that people actually want to read.

^^This “hack”^^ is 100x more effective than pasting a large block of ugly text in the footer, trying to fake your way to a minimal promotional percentage.
