On Social Media, Election, Fighting For Your Brand

It’s that terrible time again.

Every 4 years…

Social media becomes a giant wasteland of unwanted political opinions, with extremists on both sides arguing like pissed-off, 5-year-old kids.

As if anyone wants to hear what others have to say.

No, they don’t.

They just want to prove:

  • I’m smart.
  • You’re dumb.
  • I win.

But for you, as a business owner, it’s a disaster.

Because millions of election money is pouring into every single SM platform. It’s dominating the attention and silencing everything else—including your ads.

This year, it’s worse.

Because of all the AI craps.

People are using AI to create fake stuff…

…and others are using AI to “make” honest info fake.

(Some are taking real images, modifying them, and throwing them into AI detection software to “prove” they’re fake. You have to give it to them. Humans get pretty creative when they want to con people.)

And this is when I treasure email the most.

Even though there are donation emails from “I don’t even know who you are” politicians, but when a person opens YOUR email…

You have a shot to win their full attention.

For the next 3 to 60 seconds, you are the only one on that screen.

You can tell a story, make them laugh, provide an “A-ha,” and sell your product… without Zuckerberg (or Musk) trying to bid out your placement.

You’ll never have this opportunity on SM.

The best part –

If you do it right, you make some sales.

If you do it wrong, you get to try again tomorrow.

Cheering for you,
Wuyen
