It was Tuesday morning.
It was supposed to be a busy day. I had to go shopping for food early in the morning, grab the Japanese translation of my driver’s license for the upcoming trip, write a dozen emails for my clients, and create a value bomb called “The Guaranteed Guide to Getting Out of Spam.”
So, I woke up at 6:50, prepped everything, and…
RROAMMMM!!
Confused, I popped the window and saw a white wall. The rain was so thick I couldn’t see the street.
“Right… the news mentioned something about the biggest typhoon of the year.”
*clap-clap-clap*
The little one saw the storm outside and was clapping with excitement.
She pointed at the white wall and yelled –
“Ba-ba-zhe-ge”
(translate: father, look at this)
*sigh*
That’s life.
When it rains, it pours… and usually when you are extra busy.
This is what happens when you have a “too complicated” plan.
One small hiccup –
The “perfect plan” washes down the drain.
That’s why I always advise my clients…
Principle #1 – Marketing should be (stupidly) simple.
Because…
Less moving parts = Fewer mistakes
Less complication = More room to scale
Less tasks = More resources to do each task better
Instead of asking yourself, “What more can I do?”Challenge yourself with, “What can I STOP doing?”
To your success,
