One of the weirdest things about marketing is…
You’ll see people borrowing status all over the board.
~ “Here’s what Apple did…”
~ “Why Alex Hormozi is wrong!!”
~ “Dan Lok is boring”
~ “Elon Musk’s 189 lessons in…”
The list goes on.
BUT
These posts/ads/emails/threads/reels mean bupkis to you.
Unless someone is in the exact same place as you are—with only one or two steps ahead—their strategy can do more harm than good.
It’s like following the same workout routine as an Olympic weightlifter when you only go to the gym 2 times a month. (it’ll kill you)
To give you an example –
Apple spent ~775 MILLION on advertising and marketing in 2023.
They do not care if there’s no CTA in one ad.
Alex Hormozi has 3.3M followers on Instagram… and 3.16M on YouTube.
He can post ANYTHING, and it’ll go viral.
Elon Musk has the whole US government in his palm.
He can fire whoever is investigating his company… give himself a 400M government contract for metal tin cans… and millions of people are cheering.
That’s why –
You should never be following anyone who is leagues ahead of you.
The best approach is to find someone who specializes in helping businesses like yours. Let’s say you want to level up your email marketing…
* If you’re doing 1B, you do not hire a freelance copywriter to deliver a Gdoc with 30 emails and call it a day.
* If you’re doing 1-2M, you do not hire a 9-figure agency that has an outrageous overhead to cover.
When it comes to marketing –
Fit is better than glamorous.

PS – Here’s another example…
I’ve worked with e-commerces doing 500k a year… and also brands doing 290M a year. I will openly admit –
A 290M company should not ask an one-person email agency to take care of their entire email marketing program. It’s not the right fit.
But if you are doing 6 to 8 figures a year right now…
I am the perfect fit for you.
