In the past, when you wanted to be a troll…
You had to look someone in the eyes, be an a-hole, and run away without being punched in the face.
It’s hard.
The stakes are high.
Therefore, there are fewer trolls in the world.
But then came the Internet.
People can hide behind their little screen, let out the monster, and make a game of ruining other people’s lives – with little consequences.
(yes, it’s still illegal, but how often do the policies do anything?)
And that’s why we’re seeing people:
- Drunk driving and posting on YouTube (huh?)
- Licking the sauce bottles and posting on Instagram (dumb)
- Forcing their daughter to become a living doll (sick!)
I guess that’s why so many successful entrepreneurs only use social media for advertising… yet unplug personally from all platforms.
Anyhoo, now that the Internet Genie is out of the lamp…
You should at least make the most of it. 🤷
- Use the ad platforms to bring new customers into your world.
- Use the email channel to encourage customers to buy again.
