how to make sure no one sees your email

Today, I’m taking Tracy, my little dragon, and my parents to 国際通り. One of the busiest streets in Okinawa.

And I’m a bit nervous…

Because Okinawa is flooded with tourists.

I know –

If I let go of the little one’s hand… she’s going to disappear into the crowd without a trace. Just like…

Your emails.

🤣🤣🤣

I’m not kidding.

In the next few weeks, your customers will be bombarded with:

~ “Don’t miss our early BF deals”

~ “50 percent off. This week only”

~ “It’s official: holiday season has arrived”

The same ol’ boring BFCM emails… with discounts… month-long, fake urgency… and poster images that scream neediness.

You know what’s the worst thing you can do?

Blend into the seasonal inbox.

That’s why –

I always advise my clients:

“Shopping seasons like BFCM are the time when you absolutely do NOT want to use image-heavy emails. Because it screams sameness. It blends in. And it disappears.”

Instead –

“Use a plain-text email. Tell stories. Entertain. Send emails that read and feel like a letter from a friend.”

Because you’ll stand out.

And jumping off the paper is the biggest advantage you can have during the shopping season.

To be continued…
