This is the 2nd most frequently asked question:
(I’ll share the 1st in a few days)
“What should I write during the promo (post-launch phase)?”
(os: I don’t want to feel pushy, salesy, or cheesy 😖)
Well, here’s an example of the campaign I just finished writing –
~ One open cart announcement (quick, clean, and simple)
~ One story about a scene in the office
~ One character-building email for the CEO
~ One personal conversation directly with the CEO
~ One educational email
~ 5 more stories about the product we’re promoting
…
Yeah, I write a lot of stories. That’s my style.
BUT
What if you do not want (or know how to) write stories?
Well, you’re screwed…
…
..
.
Just kidding.
You are fine.
As long as you understand what’s going on inside your prospects’ minds—allowing you to pinpoint the pain, desire, objection, and identity—you can still write very effective emails without telling a single story.
When it comes to writing post-launch emails, there is only one rule:
Is it worth your prospect’s time?
In other words…
“If your prospect isn’t ready to buy yet, do they still find value in procrastinating what they should be doing right now… and spend a few minutes reading your email?”
I use storytelling because…
It is a cheat code, allowing you to build long-term relationships without relying on “educational content.”
Think:
Big Bang Theory (the TV show) vs Big Bang Theory (on Discovery Channel)
Which one holds your attention longer?
