How to Launch a Promotional Campaign – Part 16

The #1 most frequently asked question:

How many emails should you send during a launch?

Ans:

As many as your list will tolerate.

I’m not kidding…

One of the best analogies I heard about planning a promo campaign is from Daniel Throssell (who is arguably the best in the world for writing promos):

A promo campaign works like trying to burn a leaf under the sun with a magnifying glass. Once you hold it at the proper distance…

The longer you focus, the hotter it gets.

(I recommend checking out his course,  Campaign Conqueror, for more)

Now, let’s translate this into email marketing language:

Once you know how to create entertaining emails your subscribers will want to read… without relying on “discount, discount, discount”…

THEN

The more emails your prospects read, the more likely they will buy.

(without completely destroying the list relationship)

Hence

You should be sending as many emails as your list will tolerate.

And no, they will not get angry because “how dare you send 2 emails a week”.
