How to Launch a Promotional Campaign – Part 14

Each email inside a promotional campaign should stand alone.

This means…

If a prospect skips 3 emails… and starts reading the 4th… the email should still make sense. Because you cannot (and should not) expect people to read every email.

But during this recent client campaign, I tested a new idea:

What if I send an email that teases people about the previous emails?

In other words…

Even though the email stands alone, it also increases prospects’ curiosity about digging through their inbox to find previous emails.

Result?

It worked!

One of the emails I teased about…

MORE THAN DOUBLE the revenue after the teaser went live.

(the other email I teased got a ~15% bump in sales, too)

This is why it’s always worth testing new ideas.
