How to create an irresistible offer (Part 2)

There’s an old joke –

A very hard-working man has been slaving away for months, exhausted, overworked, and urgently needs a vacation. His wife, worried about his health, urged him to…

Take a week off, travel alone, hit Whitehaven Beach in Australia, and relax.

“Don’t worry about the family. I’ll take care of them.”

After a few days of unplugging, the man felt utterly relaxed and grateful for his wife.

So…

He snapped a photo of the beautiful beach, with all the pretty views and happy smiles, and sent her a msg saying…

“Having a wonderful time. Wish you were her”

🤣🤣🤣

This is why getting the “words” right is so important.

Well, to make sure we are on the same page…

Let’s start with the terminology.

What is a product vs offer?

A product is the physical THING you are selling.

The cow. The tea. The coffee. The supplement pill.

But the offer?

That’s how you PACKAGE this thing into a marketable idea.

Take a cow, for example:

A 6k cow share is a very different offer from a 1lb trial pack.

Same cow. Different offer.

Take supplements, for example:

One bottle of the supplement for free. All you have to do is pay for the shipping.

(aka Free Plus Shipping)

That’s one offer.

A monthly subscription that gives you 3 bottles every quarter for 10 percent off? That’s a very different offer.

But both of these offers come with the same pills.

Same product.

I can go one, but you get the idea.

For most brands, you are not creating “new products” during Black Friday.

You are creating different OFFERS to sell the same product.

Limited-time discount. Special bundles. Mystery gifts. Free shipping.

These are all different offers.

In my experience, offers account for 40 percent of success in any promotion. (40% offer / 30% list / 20% strategy / 10% copy)

That’s why it’s so important to master the skill of creating irresistible offers.

(Yes, it’s a learnable skill.)

And my ambitious goal over the next few days is to walk you through creating irresistible offers on demand.

To be continued…
