How to create an irresistible offer (Part 1)

Imagine this:

You’re trying to sell a hot dog. A delicious, salty, juicy hotdog made with grassfed, regenerative beef. Real beef. Not the nasty Be-yond Meat.

So…

You rented a hotdog stand, pushed the cart down the street, and settled…

In front of Caesar’s Palace’s 91.99 buckaroo a person, all-you-can-eat buffet.

And you stood there…

…for a whole day

…wondering

…why does no one want your hot dog?

Good product + Wrong market = Bad offer

Now, a second scenario:

You’re trying to sell the same hot dog. But this time, you landed inside a giant stadium. The Dodger Stadium, LA.

In the middle of 56,000 hungry baseball fans.

On Oct 27.

During the 18 innings of G3 of the 2025 World Series.

You sold out within an hour.

(Heck, that sandwich store nearby with the nastiest tuna sub sold out in 2 hours.)

Right product + Right market = Good offer

The reason I’m sharing this with you is…

Earlier this month, a client reached out to me asking if I could help them map out their 30-day-long BFCM promo for this year.

I took one look at their offer and something felt off.

But…

It was 3 days before they wanted to launch.

So, it’s too late to change anything.

But I warned them –

“It’s not gonna look good.”

And it didn’t.

The upcoming series is my attempt to share the 20/80 most important tips on “How to create BFCM e-commerce offers that sell like snow cones in a hot-as-hell day delicious hotdogs in a hungry baseball stadium.”

(Note: I’m using BFCM as a trigger here. However, you can easily replace the term with any promo. The principle is the same.)
