[EPE 18 of 21] –  VIP Flow (80/20 Customers)

Recently, Meta made the mistake of thinking I’m interested in basketball.

(I’m not)

So… my feed is littered with NBA news, commentator posts, and random strangers discussing who the top 10 players in history are.

(again, I don’t care)

You can see how passionate these fanboys are.

“MJ is NO DOUBT the GOAL”

“Black Mamba is in a different league”

“LeBron is the King”

bla-bla-bla

The truth?

It doesn’t matter what these people “think.”

It’s not gonna affect a penny in MJ or LeBron’s piggy bank.

BUT –

To the fans? It means the world.

This is because—deep down—we all want to feel special, and…

Hall of Fame = Special

(Pride is one of the 7 deadly sins)

This is what makes VIP Flow effective.

Most people think it’s all about “give them another discount.”

It’s not.

While we might offer a discount as an incentive to buy again (might, meaning not necessary)… the more important purpose of this flow is to put your best customers on a pedestal.

~ Carve their name in the stone…

~ Induct them into [COMPANY NAME]’s Hall of Fame…

~ Make a real-size, golden statue…

M.A.K.E. T.H.E.M. S.P.E.C.I.A.L

Because when you shock and delight them with this new status…

…they can’t help but become a super fan, buy (even) more, and tell their friends about your brand.

**Lesson for business owner**

This is the point where I’m supposed to give you some “tips” on VIP flows.

*drumroll*

I’m not.

Because VIP flow is one of the least critical flows.

(I hesitated to call it a Core Flow)

Heck, I don’t even build it for every client.

Most brands get obsessed with adding more and more flows.

But in my experience –

When done correctly, campaigns will account for 60-80% of your email revenue.

2 to 4x your flow revenue.

That’s why I put VIP Flow in step 18.

If you haven’t started implementing the previous 17 steps, don’t fuss over VIP flows.

To be continued…
