email open rate – is it worth tracking?

When it comes to email marketing, the most controversial metric is – 

Open Rate.

On one hand, it’s completely useless.

Because it’s wildly inaccurate. 

(mobile apps, iOS privacy, incognito mode, image blocks, etc)

You have to be really lucky to get 80% accuracy.

But on the other hand…

Open rate means how many people “see your offer.”

And this is basic math.
