Yesterday, I wrapped up the email with a question:
“What’s ONE thing you can do TODAY to improve your customer’s experience?”
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
(hit reply and let me know)

Today, let me share mine:
After working with multiple 6 to 9-figure e-commerces, I’ve noticed that…
Most brands lack consistency in their communication.
To give you a few examples:
– From Sep 4 to today, reMarkable sent me only 6 emails (3 for BF)
– From Oct 21 to now, Backyard Butchers sent me 1 emails
– From mid-Oct to this day, Niner Wine Estate sent me 9 emails
(they don’t have a welcome email, so I don’t recall the exact day I optin)
– From Oct 10 to this moment, Seattle Chocolate sent me 16 emails
(Thu, Thu, Fri, Mon, Wed, Fri, Mon, Thu, Tue, Fri, Thu, Fri, Mon, Mon, Tue)
There’s no pattern.
FIRST
This is a big no-no in the eyes of Inbox Providers (think Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc).
Because a random broadcast schedule resembles spammer behavior.
This means they will 100% take a hit on deliverability.
SECOND
This is a big red flag for customer experience.
It says:
“There’s no relationship here. I only care about sales. I will bombard you with a batch of BFCM salesy emails… and go silent for days/weeks/months. I will only reach out again when I want to grab more sales.”
Now…
You might not be “thinking” this… but it’s what your prospect experiences.
So… here’s my advice:
Commit.
To show up regularly.
To start emailing with a consistent schedule.
Same day. Same time. Every week.
Prove that you are here… even when you’re not having a discount flash sale.
Build a relationship with your subscribers—and sales will happen naturally.
That said if you don’t know what to email…
You can share infinite things through emails without retreating to a discount.
Cheering for you,
– WYH
