BFCM in August (Part 2)

Before I go into the actual step-by-step “How to”…

Let’s set some ground:

The goal of this sequence is to give you a clear, easy-to-follow playbook to create very (very) profitable Promotional Campaigns.

But…

What is a Promotional Campaign?

This is where most e-commerce owners get confused.

Because promotional campaigns come in all shapes and sizes. They’re often called “sales” or “launches” or “flash sales” or “celebration.”

But they are all the same thing — with different variables.

(such as the offer, length, and theme)

Moving forward, I’m going to call a Promotional Campaign a “Launch” so we don’t get confused with the individual campaign in Klaviyo.

Here’s the definition:

A Launch is a SERIES of email campaigns… that comes with an open/close cart date… promoting a limited-time offer… with a unique theme… delivered to your email list.

Think:

~ Black Friday Cyber Monday Sales

~ Amazon Prime Day… (or it’s more like Prime Week by now)

~ Mother’s Day Flash Sale

Here are the key points:

~ A Launch includes MORE THAN ONE email

~ A Launch has an open and a close date

~ A Launch has a unique offer

~ An offer that goes away… or reduces in value… after the deadline

~ A Launch needs to have a theme (WHY are you doing this)

Now we’re clear with the terminology…

Tomorrow, let’s get into the nitty-gritty.

To be continued…
