are you too old to succeed?

You know what’s the hottest thing right now…

No, it’s not the tariff.

(that thing changes every 2 hours… not even worth worrying yet)

It’s not the Russo-Ukrainian War.

(it’s been 3 years, 5 months, 4 weeks, 5 days… most media don’t even bother reporting the update anymore)

It is…

K.P.O.P. D.E.M.O.N. H.U.N.T.E.R.S

I don’t care if you like it… hate it… or couldn’t be bothered.

This little 96-minute animated movie broke records on every chart.

So… naturally, my feed is cluttered with Kpop videos.

Most of these videos are a waste of time, but yesterday I came across a short video from Arden Cho, the voice behind Kpop’s leading character Rumi.

She shared:

“They said I’d be too old when I started acting. Booked my first big show in my late 20s. Led my own show in my 30s. Now producing + starring. Best era loading. Don’t compare. Don’t follow. Just do.”

I know. I know.

Old news, right?

You’ve probably heard this motivational quote in hundreds of different formats… from thousands of different sources… attributed to millions of different celebrities.

But then –

When you see someone else’s success… you can’t help but envy their ‘good luck’… and complain about your ‘unfortunate.’

I get it.

I can’t avoid this myself.

I’ll look at some of my mentors and think, “If I had started when they did… I would be so much better/richer/successful by now.”

Then, I’d remember the news I saw a few days ago:

“The average life expectancy in Taipei, Taiwan, has reached 83.4 years in 2024.”

This means –

The best is yet to come.

Same for you.

Julia Child started her television career at 51. You are still in your prime.

The only problem is…

If you live in the US… your life expectancy is only 78.4, which is 5 years less than mine… so that kind of sucks.

Better hustle now.

🤣🤣🤣

To your success,
– WYH
