37.6℃

“Bah-bah…”

My eyes pop open.

The little one is up.

I take a deep breath, pull out the thermometer, and…

*beep*

37.6℃ / 99.7℉

*sigh*

Looks like the little one is still under the heat…

I give up.

“It’s not a big deal. It’s just some running nose. The snivel isn’t even yellow yet. Hey… it’s just 37.6. You can barely call that a fever.” I murmured to myself as I packed her into the car, heading to the doctor.

The nurse sticks her head out the door and calls my name.

“Look. We’re lucky today. They even let us skip the line.”

I continue to cheer myself.

The doctor takes one look at her throat…

And…

Announce:

“Yeah, it’s [censored].”

⛈️⛈️⛈️

I couldn’t hear anything else…

Because I am too busy texting my wife the bad news.

(I can’t be the only one to experience the ⚡)

(her first reaction: “huh”)

(her second reaction: “you kiddddding me, right?!”)

I am so shocked right now that…

I forget what I’m gonna tell you…

Something about…

…..

….
